One of the best movies I have seen in quite some time.
You know those days when you’ve got the mean reds…. the blues are because you’re getting fat or maybe it’s been raining too long. You’re sad, that’s all. But the mean reds are horrible. You’re afraid and you sweat like hell, but you don’t know what you’re afraid of. Except something bad is going to happen, only you don’t know what it is.
—Breakfast at Tiffany’s
I don’t feel the sickness yet, but it’s in the post. That’s for sure. I’m in the junkie limbo at the moment. Too ill to sleep. Too tired to stay awake, but the sickness is on its way. Sweat, chills, nausea. Pain and craving. A need like nothing else I’ve ever known will soon take hold of me. It’s on its way.
You got to understand that as soon as a man goes to help somebody, he leaves himself wide open…What could I do? I can’t fix your stuttering. I can’t wipe the razor-blade scars off your wrists or the cigarette burns off the back of your hands.
